Greater Houston Builders Association Chartered in 1941, the Greater Houston Builders Association is a trade association representing all aspects of the residential building industry in the greater Houston area. The association interacts with the government, community and general public to enhance the business climate for its members, and to provide quality obtainable housing to the community it serves. The association is also active in community outreach and charitable events.
Custom Builders Council The mission of the Custom Builders Council is to form an alliance among custom builders to achieve the highest level of professionalism and integrity; to offer our customers quality construction and excellent customer service in the industry; to offer continuing education to enhance our abilities; to provide an open forum for communication and exchanging ides; and to strengthen our political position to help our industry.
Certified Green Professional The National Association of Home Builders’ Certified Green Professional™ designation recognizes builders, remodelers and other industry professionals who incorporate green building principles into homes— without driving up the cost of construction. Classwork leading to the designation provides a solid background in green building methods, as well as the tools to reach consumers, from the organization leading the charge to provide market-driven green building solutions to the home building industry.
Certified Graduate Builder and Graduate Master Builder Certified Graduate Builder (CGB) and Graduate Master Builder (GMB) are two of the top designations developed by NAHB for builders.
