When we were asked to describe our custom home building experience with Morning Star, the first word that came to mind for both my wife and I was detail. Morning Star Builders was not only deeply involved in the actual building process, but was intimately involved in the entire design phase with our architect. By the way, the architectural phase took almost one year. The best part of the entire experience was not the attention to detail, compassion, professionalism or even their honesty, but the fact that my wife and I feel we truly have made long-lasting friends with the Morning Star Team.

We bought acreage property in High Meadow Ranch several years ago, and had been working with an architect for almost a year to design our "dream home". Every so often, my wife and I would drive through the neighborhood, to remind us of our planned future. On one of these visits, we stopped to tour an open house... and that changed everything! The house had so many elements built in that we wanted for our dream house. The design of the house, the beauty of its interior and exterior, along with the "extras" built in throughout the home made it instantly feel that it was meant for us. The quality of workmanship, the attention to finish-out details, and the continuity of style are impressive, but more importantly, this house is functional... not only for my wife and me, but also for entertaining. Morning Star completed our bonus room, creating a terrific home theater and exercise space. They also provided design consultation during the construction of our back yard swimming pool, out-door kitchen and landscaping. We would recommend Morning Star Builders to anyone considering building their home. Your home is a reflection of your dreams... and Morning Star can make those dreams a reality.

We looked for a house for over two years, and probably looked at over 50 houses. Spent hours on HAR.com (Houston Association of Realtors) looking at houses and could never find the house that met our lifestyle and expectations. Then one day (March 2006) we were riding around High Meadow Ranch and saw a house that caught our eye. We were unable to go inside the house that day, but we knew we wanted to get an inside peak as soon as possible. So a few days later we road back out to High Meadow Ranch and went by the house again. It was our lucky day because they were having an Open House that same day. As soon as we walked through the front door we knew it was the house we had been looking for. That was a Sunday and we made an offer on the house within two days. Until we found this house, we thought we were going to have to build a house in order to get what we wanted in a house. So many of the houses we looked at would have required certain remodeling, updating, etc., to meet our wants and desires in a house. However, this house did not need anything to be a great house for us. It is an absolutely gorgeous house. We have been very happy in our house. Morning Star Builders put so much time and effort into the details of their houses. There are so many neat things about our house and we are still in awe of everything. The views from the back porches are unbelievable, and Morning Star knew just how to place the windows in order to capture that view from the inside of the house as well. Had we built a house it could not have met our needs any better than the house we purchased from Morning Star Builders. In addition to the great house, the builders – Ted and Yvonne Cummins have been so pleasant to work with over the year and a half that we have lived in the house. They are very quick to tweak anything that may need attention and are very fair and honest people. Not only did we get lucky with the house, we got lucky that the builders are such nice people. And I must mention the Superintendent, Michael. He is just as nice as he can be and has been so helpful with anything that we needed to have done at the house. Always a pleasure dealing with anyone associated with Morning Star Builders.
